Position: CAD Draftsman Location: Gurgaon Position: Full Time Education and Training Requirements: Minimum educational qualification is diploma in CAD detailing with Sketch up Work Experience: 1-3 years of working experience in Auto Cad Drafting and detailing of home furniture. Purpose of Role: Auto Cad Drafting with sketch up and detailing of Home Interior/Furniture/wardrobe is a pre-planning work for furniture production. Mistakes or errors in this job will affect the post work. Thus this Job requires lot of concentration, perfection and responsibility. Interior/Furniture/wardrobe Furniture/wardrobe detailer is the one who does the detailing of the furniture/wardrobe according to the material standards and machining requirements. Roles & Responsibilities: · Detailing, sectional details, typical detailing, detailed shop drawing for manufacturing of home furniture. · Prepares detailed shop drawings in scale or full size, from blueprints of Interior · Designer, showing methods of construction and upholstering, and indicating sizes and kinds of material to be used. · Designing products with engineering and manufacturing techniques. · Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products. · Prepare multiple versions of designs for review by engineers and architects. · Prepare drawings for sheet/Pipe/Solid metal components. · Prepare drawings and diagrams for electrical devices and installations. · Collaborate with designers, constructors and engineers on projects. · Calculate dimensions and allowances with accurate precision · Compile data and specifications sheets. · Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements. · Have to check the plan once after completing the project whether the requirements mentioned are met with accuracy. · Obtain and assemble data to complete furniture designs, visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary. · Check dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to lists of materials. · Determine procedures and instructions to be followed, according to design specifications and quantity of required materials. Skill Sets: 1. Artistic ability: Develop designs that look great and are aesthetically pleasing. 2. Detail oriented: Precise in detailing and making shop drawings to minimize errors at the vendor’s end. 3. Interpersonal skills: Need to be able to communicate effectively with design team and others. 4. Problem-solving skills: Must address challenges such as sudden unavailability of selected materials, while keeping the project on time. 5. Visualization: Must have a strong sense of proportion and visual awareness, to understand how pieces of a design will fit together to create the intended interior environment. 6. CAD: A high level of technical knowledge, including CAD and model-making skills. 7. Drawing Skills: Good drawing skills, including perspective drawings. 8. Attitude: A flexible attitude is needed.
